Use of pericardium to control bleeding after ascending aortic graft replacement

1989
Abstract We present the case of a patient who required replacement of an ascending aortic composite graft for endocarditis complicated by uncontrollable bleeding from the proximal anastomotic site. A new method of creating a right atrial-to-periprosthetic space fistula with autologous pericardium was used with a favorable result.
