Para-hydroxyphenylacetic acid for reducing repelling property of insecticide

1996
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insecticidal composition capable of lowering repelling action which insecticide exhibits and especially useful for controlling cockroach by using a specific compound or a mixture of the compound with other chemical compound. SOLUTION: Para-hydroxyhenylacetic acid of the formula and/or a mixture of the compound with other chemical compound is used as the composition. The compound of the formula can be used as an acid or in a form of a salt. Especially, an organic carboxylic acid, especially benzoic acid, phenylacetic acid, etc., is preferably used as other chemical compound. The dose of the compound of the formula and/or a mixture of the compound with other chemical compound is preferably about 0.1-500mg per m . When the composition is put into a bait, the composition is used in an mount of about 0.0001-100mg per g bait. The insecticidal composition exhibiting the anit-repelling action is obtained by mixing the compound of the formula and/or a mixture of the compound with other chemical compound with an auxiliary and/or extender. Carbamate, carboxylic ester, phosphoric acid ester, etc., is preferably further added to the composition.
