Varying the Morphology and Phase Composition of CuxOy@SiO2 Nanocomposites in the Pulsed Plasma-Chemical Synthesis

In this work, the ability to control the morphology and phase composition in the pulsed plasma-chemical synthesis is demonstrated. Several batches of Cu x O y @SiO 2 nanocomposites were synthesized by the pulsed plasma-chemical method with the different concentration of the initial precursors. Elemental and chemical analysis of the synthesized nanocomposites was carried out. The morphology of Cu x O y @SiO 2 nanocomposites was studied by transmission electron microscopy. To determine the crystal structure of the prepared nanocomposite, a standard X-ray phase analysis technique was used.
