Analysis of Imaging Features of Digital Subtraction Angiography in Patients With Transient Ischemic Attack

2009
Objective:To explore the effect of digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in diagnosis of transient ischemic attack (TIA). Methods: Sixty patients with TIA underwent DSA were observed for the state of CCA,ICA and VA,and the relationship between the TIA and cerebral artery disease was analyzed. Results: Fifty-three cases were found to have atherosclerotic vascular stenosis,48 cases with unstable plaque. Among them 39 cases with arterial stenosis more than 50%,34 cases with extracranial artery and 19cases with interacranial arterial stenosis. Conclusions: DSA can define the location, extent and characteristic of the arterial stenosis, which plays an important role in understanding the etiology and directing effective treatment for the patients with TIA.
