2 Schemes for Ischemic Cerebral Infarction:Cost-Effectiveness Analysis

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the curative effects and the economic effects of Yinxingdamo vs.Shuxuening in the treatment of ischemic cerebral infarction.METHODS:A total of 60 patients with ischemic cerebral infarction were randomly assigned to Yinxingdamo group(30 cases)and Shuxuening group(30 cases),all of whom were given routine therapy concomitantly.Therapeutic effects were observed and pharmacoeconomic analysis was carried out.RESULTS:The costs,total effective rates,and cost-effectiveness ratios of Yinxingdamo vs.Shuxuening were 10 773.53 vs.10 935.43 yuan,83.33% vs.76.67%(P0.05),and 12 928.75 vs.14 262.98,respectively.Both groups had 1 alimentary tract hemorrhage case in either group but were cured on treatment.No intracranial hemorrhage was noted in either group.CONCLUSION:Yinxingdamo injection was an optimal therapy as compared with Shuxuening.
