A malignant phyllodes tumour imaged by enhanced magnetic resonance imaging three-dimensional dynamic contrast-

1996
A 58-year-old woman presented with a lump in her right breast that had been increasing in size over a 6-month period. On examination the right breast was enlarged by a large hard mass measuring 15 cm in diameter. In spite of its size the skin was freely mobile over the lesion, Mammograms demonstrated a circumscribed tumour with lobulation, welldefined borders and indistinct calcifications (Fig. 1). One centimetre of normal appearing breast parenchyma could still be seen between the skin and the tumour. Sonographically the tumour was hypoechogenic and contained two cystic areas (Fig. 2). From its clinical appearance a phyllodes tumour was suspected.
