Morbidade por problemas mentais – análise de séries temporais no período anterior e durante a pandemia do COVID-19

Objective: to compare through time series the number of hospitalizations per year and month of care, per place of residence in the regional health care facilities according to CID 10 for mental and behavioral disorders in the period from January 2016 to June 2020 and June 2019 to June 2020 to verify the hospitalizations in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: This is an epidemiological study that used data on the number of hospitalizations per year and month of care and per place of residence in the Sergipe health regions. Results: it was found that hospitalizations for mental and behavioral disorders tended to decrease for most of the regionals. Analyzing the pandemic period there was a decreasing tendency except for Lagarto, Nossa Senhora da Gloria and Nossa Senhora do Socorro who remained stable. Conclusion: there was a decrease of hospitalizations along the years and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
