Summary
A phaeohyphomycotic sinusitis due to Bipolaris hawaiiensis, observed in an immunologically competent patient, is reported and a review of data from the literature is given. The patient was successfully treated by surgical drainage and amphotericin B.

Es wird der Fall einer Phaeohyphomykose dargestellt, verursacht durch Bipolaris hawaiiensis. Es handelt sich um eine Sinusitis, die durch chirurgische Drainage und Amphotericin B-Behandlung saniert werden konnte. Eine Literaturubersicht ist angeschlossen.
