Potential and Benefits of the Spatial Dimension in Case of MC-CDMA

After discussing basic possibilities to exploit the spatial dimension for wireless communications, a vector transmission model for MIMO channels is taken to get more insight. Finally the potential of the spatial dimension for MC-CDMA is discussed. It is shown that the spreading component of MC-CDMA has the potential to give already enough diversity and that an increase of the bandwidth efficiency seems to be the most important task for the future.
