Charging system and start charging control method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system that is improved in convenience.SOLUTION: A charging system 1 includes a charger 10 and a database 20. The charger 10 comprises: a charger body including a power supply unit 11 and a control unit 12; and a plurality of charging connectors 13-1 to 13-3 having different charging specifications. The control unit 12 performs authentication of identification information by communicating with the database 20. The control unit 12 determines the charging specification on the basis of vehicle information in the database 20 if the authentication is successful, and determines the charging specification on the basis of vehicle information inputted by a user if the authentication is unsuccessful. Further, the control unit 12 unlocks one of the charging connectors 13-1 to 13-3 corresponding to the determined charging specification, and issues notification of the unlocking to thereby allowing the user to specify the unlocked one of the charging connectors 13-1 to 13-3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
