Diagnostic Value of Combined Detection of Tumor Marker CEA,CA125,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in Patients with Lung Cancer

2010
Objective To investigate the clinical value of serum CEA,CA125,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in the diagnosis of lung Cancer. Methods Serum CEA,CA125,NSE and CYFRA21-1 were measured with electrochemiluminescence immunoassay method in 98 patients with lung cancers,60 patients with benign lung diseases. Results Serum tumor markers in the lung cancer patients were higher than in the benigh lung disease patients, showing statistically significant differences(all P0.01).CEA and CA125 had the highest sensitivity(67.4%,67.4%) for detecting adenocarcinoma.NSE had the highest sensitivity(70.6%) for detecting small cell lung cancers(SCLC).CYFRA21-1 had the highest sensitivity(74.3%) for detecting squamous carcinoma. The combination of four serum tumor markers had higher sensitivity(88.8%) than the single marker for the diagnosis of lung cancers. Conclusion Serum CEA,CA125,NSE and CYFRA21-1 are helpful markers for the diagnosis of lung cancer. The combination of the markers can improve the sensitivity of the diagnosis.
