Tungsten carbide particulate reinforced AA7050 aluminum alloy composites fabricated by liquid state processing

2020
In this research paper, deals with the fabrication of AA7050 alloy composites (AACs) which have been manufactured through stir casting process consuming tungsten carbide as reinforcement material. The Impact of tungsten carbide (WC) on the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and hardness of the AACs were assessed. The generated AACs and AA7050 alloy were exposed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The tested examination results expose that the mechanical behaviors of the produced AACs is intensified through growing of the WC content. SEM images reveal the harmonized spreading of WC contents throughout the AA7050 aluminium.
