Cancer gastrico. 11 anos de experiencia sobre 8,304 estudios endoscopicos realizados

: 8.304 patients have been examined endoscopically in a period of time of eleven years. We found 412 with gastric cancer, a 4.96% of the total research. In 1970 we had the upper point with 8.71% and the lower point with 3.14%, in 1980. The 89.56% were advanced gastric cancer and the 1.95% were early gastric cancer. According to Borrmann classification, from advanced gastric cancer, 18 were mixed types. Because of technics reasons or lost controls, in 8.49% of the cases the real origin, could not be confirmed.
