Oral health professionals are uniquely positioned to help with screening of children and adolescents at high risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) because they do examine them at least once every year. The possibility of combining a detailed medical history with the application of a validated questionnaire such as the Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) could allow them to refer high-risk patients for proper medical management.
