A fusion protein comprising a fused modified transferrin protein (MTP) with a molecule of glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1), wherein the MTF protein is human transferrin of SEQ ID NO: 3 modified by substitution, deletion or amino acid insertion between 1 and 30 amino acids, and wherein the protein exhibits reduced glycosylation MTF, reduced metal binding or receptor binding reduced compared to human transferrin of SEQ ID NO: 3.
