We assessed the diagnostic accuracy of CT scan in patients who underwent emergency laparotomy in a district general hospital. 0 0 1 75 431 LocumFinder.com 3 1 505 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:EN-US;} Methods:  All patients who underwent emergency laparotomy, between May 2011 and April 2012 at Dorset County Hospital, with pre-operative CT scan on the same admission, were included in the study. Patients who had laparotomy, but did not under go a CT scan before surgery or patients who had a CT scan but no laparotomy, were excluded from the study. Initial reporting of all CT scans was done by a consultant radiologist. The individual CT scan reports were compared with corresponding laparotomy findings. 0 0 1 65 374 LocumFinder.com 3 1 438 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE false" Priority
