2016
The complementary extension activities contribute to the academic training of students as they offer extramural experiences in the field, creating interfaces between University and Society. The extra activities act as a hinge mechanism that allows constructive dialogue. The work carried out between 2012 and 2014 aimed to characterize the knowledge generated within outreach activities developed in an engineering degree and point demand expectations by knowledge of students. As a result, there is the level of satisfaction of participants, fostering educational activities, strengthening the interface between theoretical and practical environment, the approach of the institution with alumni and companies, in addition to feedback from students about what are your demands on the capabilities that the institution can come to offer. This work has as a research method the experience report and exploratory research, since actions made it possible to collect a series of perceptions about the project and about future possibilities for the inseparability of research, teaching and extension, becomes every day more present in the universities, contributing to the science as it generates knowledge through study or practice, and based on sets of knowledge in which scientific theories and methods are developed.
