Hypothesis-Based Research

1998
Science progresses most efficiently with a hypothesis or question. The scientific method leads to careful and thorough thinking and, as a framework for thought, it is probably the most efficient way for most of us to conduct investigations. Too few scientists use the scientific method effectively; most spend far too much time developing or exploring methods and techniques and far too little time formulating problems.
