Quasi-free scattering of 56 MeV α particles by α-particle clusters in 6Li and 7Li

Abstract The 6 Li(α, 2α)D and 7 Li(α, 2α)T reactions have been studied at an incident energy of 56 MeV. Coincidence spectra have been obtained by two methods: angular correlations and energy sharing at a fixed angle. The results of the two methods are compared and a PWBA interpretation is given.
