PERCEPCIONES DE LOS PROFESORES DE LA BENEMÉRITA UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA DE PUEBLA (BUAP) EN TORNO A LA DISPONIBILIDAD DE INFRAESTRUCTURA TECNOLÓGICA

2015
This article has the aim to identify the perception of professors about the availability of technological infrastructure at BUAP. From a quantitative methodology that involved the application of a questionnaire to 71 professors, trough an exploratory factor analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS version 15). Three factors explain the result. The first comprises the perception of network availability in the academic unit. The second refers to the perceived availability of hardware, and the last one is related to the perception of computers availability, showing that professors have a better perception of network availability respect to the other two factors. In addition, teachers in humanities' areas perceive a scarce availability of TIC. Also is evidenced that professors with part and full time at university have a better perception of availability of computers compared to professors that are hired per hour class. Thus, this configures a bias in the perceptions availability of technological infrastructure by university professors.
