Application of Image Processing Technique to Detect Coal Quality in Power Plant

In this paper, the image processing technique is put forward to be used to detect coal quality in power plant. The carriage scope can be distinguished automatically by processing the gathered images with the edge detection operator based on convolute.Then the program begin to control the sampler to sample by choosing the sampling spot, which can guarantee the choosed sampling spot within the distinguished carriage scope. So the sampling work can be carried out normally.
