Influence of an aluminum-silicon sorbent on the viability of lactobacillus at different pH values of the incubation medium

2020
Comprehensive health measures are applied not only to patients, but also to healthy people. One of such measures is the use of sorbents and sorption technology of enterosorption, aimed not at enhancing the introduction of drugs into the body, but at removing poisons, toxins, harmful metabolic products. Another important technology is the delivery of biologically active substances and cellular structures, such as lactobacilli, into the body. The purpose of this work is to study the effect of a new porous aluminum-silicon sorbent TAGA in powder form, on the cells of lactobacilli when they come into contact with the sorbent in an aqueous solution at different values of the hydrogen pH index. The study of physical, chemical and technological properties of a porous aluminum-silicon sorbent was carried out using generally accepted methods for determining the porous structure and adsorption activity. The biological properties of the sorbent were studied using standard microbiological methods. The effect of sorbent exposure on the survival of lactobacilli in contact with water at different values of the hydrogen index was evaluated. As a result, the parameters of the porous structure of the sorbent, its adsorption capacity in relation to the markers - the methylene blue dye, and technological characteristics were determined. In accordance with standard microbiological methods, the viability of lactobacilli was evaluated depending on the time of contact with the sorbent and the acidity of the medium. It is shown that cell survival is lowest in an acidic environment at a pH value of 1.2.
