Expression of chemokines receptor-4 and vascular endothelial growth factor in non-small lung cancer
2012
Objective To investigate the expression of chemokines receptor-4 (CXCR4) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in non-small lung cancer and the mechanism. Methods Immunohistochemical streptavidin-perosidase technique was used to detect the expression of CXCR4 and VEGF in 90 cases of non-small lung cancer tissues, and the relationship between the expression and pathologic parameters was analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of CXCR-4 and VEGF was 61.1% and 76.7% respectively in non-small lung cancer tissues. The expression of CXCR4 was correlated with differentiation, clinical staging and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05),but not with sex and age (P > 0.05).The positive rate of VEGF was correlated with differentiation, clinical staging and lymph node metastasis (P <0.05),but not with sex,age and histological types (P > 0.05).There was a positive relationship between the expression of CXCR-4 and VECF in non-small lung cancer (P < 0.05).Conclusion The high expression of CXCR-4 and VEGF may contribute to metastasis, invasion and lymph node metastasis of non-small lung cancer.
