Effects ofElectrode on SpaceChargeProperties ofPolyimide Films

Spacecharge formation inpolyimide films, andtherefore, charge injection fromtheelectrodes largely depend uponthewatercontent. Inorder to clarify theinjection properties ofpositive andnegative chargecarriers, spacechargedistributions were observed inthepolyimide filmswithdifferent electrode conditions, suchas aluminium was evaporated onasurface ofthesamples. Onlywhen therearelectrode isasemi-conductive material, the evaporated aluminumelectrode enhances charge injection. Thepositive andnegative charge carriers hadsimilar electrode effects oninjection eachother.
