Observations of carbon monoxide concentrations in the vicinity of a multi-story urban garage with a single roof level source

1982
Abstract A full-scale experiment of carbon monoxide dispersion from an artificially ventilated 25 m urban parking garage within a built-up area is described. Ambient CO-concentration patterns are discussed and peak-to-mean values in the building wake and at roof level are compared. Measurements of ambient CO concentrations showed that, due to enhanced turbulence, concentration fluctuations within the wake are smaller than those at roof level. The dependence of peak-to-mean concentration ratios as a function of sampling time ratios for different locations is given.
