Survey on Need of Continuing Humanity Quality Education for Clinical Nurses

Objective To explore the demands and influencing factors of continuing humanity quality education for clinical nurses and to provide evidences for nursing continuing humanity quality education.Methods With stratified random sampling,The Questionnaire of Continuing Humanity Quality Education for Clinical Nurses was applied among 2 800 clinical nurses and descriptive statistics was employed.Results There were 2 727 effective questionnaires with an effective rate of 97.39%.93.22% of the nurses realized the necessity and importance of continuing humanity quality education.The main demands of continuing humanity quality education were to renew their knowledge and enhance nursing capabilities in nurse-patient relationship,occupational protection,legal awareness,mental health maintenance,and medical ethic.The major influencing factors of nursing continuing education included inadequate energy and time,few chances and insufficiency of money.Conclusion It is urgent for clinical nurses to receive continuing humanity quality education and it should be carried out through a scientific design.
