TIME SERIES CLASSIFICATION USING K-NEAREST NEIGHBOURS, MULTILAYER PERCEPTRON AND LEARNING VECTOR QUANTIZATION ALGORITHMS

SUMMARY The experiment show usability of presented algorithm in a classifi cation of data such as time series derived from musical excerpts. Another benefi t of presented experiment is our new LVQ implementation validation. Although it acquired slightly worse accuracy than kNN or MLP it can be used with our SOM implementation together to form semi-supervised learning algorithm for Kohonen network topology.
