The article considers the role of a “speaking person” in variation of secondary communicative reality at the example of time nominations. The research is based on the study about the “speaking person” (HL) as an object of contemporary philology at the example of time nominations, at the material of the texts of Shukshin’s stories “Vanka Teplyashin”, “I Believe!”, “My Son-in-Law Stole a Truckload of Wood!” and their English translations. In the process of text life there are three representations of Homo Loquens – the author, the translator and the reader. The article stipulates that “switching time” – between past and present is a signiicant artistic technique; the lack of it in the text of translation results in a distortion of the text perception. All events and images of English translation texts are in past tense, therefore, their importance is decreasing, the reader is not a participant of artistic communication.Key words: inner world of a text, V.M.
