Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Pregnancy and Bariatric Surgery

2017
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder with a prevalence of about 6–10 % in women of reproductive age [1]. Since PCOS is commonly associated with obesity, this chapter aims to understand the role of bariatric surgery in patients with PCOS and also the precautions that needs to be taken in patients with subsequent pregnancy after bariatric surgery.
