Proceedings of the 2nd Conference on Wireless Health

This year has brought remarkable new progress in the development of the Wireless Health field. The capability for continuous monitoring of physiological status and detailed behavior combined with individualized guidance is now having an early impact on healthcare delivery. The current time is historic in that it is now clear that the outcomes of treatment, the decisions regarding healthcare pathways, the effectiveness and accuracy of clinical trials will all be affected by this new capability and forever change healthcare, medical research and education, and related fields. We are very pleased to welcome you to the second in the series of Wireless Health conferences (Wireless Health 2011) and their Conference Proceedings. This year brings an exceptional set of contributed papers on the leading research. Also, the conference keynote addresses describe the most important new initiatives in wireless health medical research, industry, and government. Panel presentations include discussion of primary breakthroughs in wireless health from the reduction of hospital treatment readmission rate to the description of wireless health in the nation's automotive vehicles. The Wireless Health series has been created to be the primary annual single-track conference series convening the vanguard international research communities in Wireless Health technology and medical research. As in the previous year, Wireless Health 2011 is established in-cooperation with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
