Studies on the Red Edge Parameters of Spectrum in Winter Wheat Under Different Varieties, Fertilizer and Water Treatments

2002
The results indicated that the red edge parameters (REP) diversification disciplinarian in the winter wheat at different growth stages was as following: The REP moved to the longer band side from erecting stage to heading stage and then it stopped in the heading stage after the population was stable and it is called "Red transference". It moved to the short band side from grain-filling stage to maturity stage which is called "Blue transference". The leaf total nitrogen content (LTN) had positive correlation to dλred and dλ NIRP and the correlation coefficient improved as growth stage extended. The chlorophyll content (TChl) had negative correlation to dλred from erecting stage to the elongation stage, and it had positive correlation from heading stage to milk maturity stage, it also had positive relation to dλ NIRP. The leaf area index (LAI) had positive relation to dλred and dλ NIRP, and the correlation coefficient also improved as growth stage extended. So dλred and dλ NIRP can be used as the indicators for monitoring the winter wheat growth dynamics, fertilizer and water regulation. The λ NIRP is selected for the illation of LTN, the dλred for that of TChl, the dλred or dλ NIRP for that of LAI. The illation has good reliability at winter wheat growth sensitive stages.
