Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (SMRKH) Syndrome: A case report

2011
This clinical case approaches a 46-years-old female patient that sought medical care 21 years ago, after several frustrated attempts to get pregnant. She did not realize that had not had her menarche, probably because of her low level of education. This is a case of the Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (SMRKH) Syndrome. The diagnosis demanded intensive propaedeutics, including total abdominal and pelvic / endovaginal ultrasonography, exploratory laparotomy, and excretion urography. There is no consensus on the best treatment, and the patient was not provided any of the treatments available.
