Deep Dyslexia in a Patient with Crossed Aphasia

A single case study of a 33-year-old right-handed man who suddenly developed left hemiplegia and nonfluent aphasia is reported. Extensive testing of the patient’s reading ability revealed the symptom complex of deep dyslexia. The relevance of crossed deep dyslexia in a reader of Italian is discussed.
