Effect observation on principle of wound bed preparation in patients with third and fourth phase pressure ulcers

Objective 9 patients with third and fourth phase pressure ulcers were summarized.According to the patients′features such as large wound surface,severe infection,poor condition of nutrition,poor healing of wound surface,the principle of wound bed preparation was implemented in order to provide good basements for the healing of wound surface.Methods Pressure ulcer wound was processed based on the principle of wound bed preparation.The ulcer wound was filled with silver ion alginate after local debridement,and drugs were changed every two days,especially changed every day when there was lots of excretion.Once the wound was polluted,changed drugs and took records.Results After 18 weeks,granulation tissue covered the whole wound surface,the wound healed quickly and well.Conclusion Principle of wound bed preparation can treat the third and fourth phase pressure ulcers significantly.
