CONCRETE OPTIONS FOR SHORT-SPAN BRIDGES

1984
Although concrete bridges can be precast and erected in a large-scale, production-line fashion, concrete can also be used in less spectacular, more economical ways for shorter spans. Many sources of information are available when considering concrete for bridge replacement. Three of these sources, which are particularly valuable for short-span bridges, are discussed in the article as a resource guide. The sources are the American Concrete Pipe Association, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, and the Prestressed Concrete Institute.
