Fatal embolism and progestagens. A case report

1970
A 37-year-old mother of 3 taking Noracycline oral contraceptives for 3 months had an appendectomy recovered normally for 2 days but died suddenly while dressing on the morning of the third day. The early occurrence of her death the absence of any prodrome and the suddenness of the death were remarkable in the authors experience. Most postoperative embolisms usually occur on the 7th or 8th day.
