Percutaneous Approach of Caliceal Diverticula

2016
Abstract (Pyelo)caliceal diverticula are intrarenal cavities covered by urothelium, without secretion, which are passively filled with urine coming from the intrarenal tracts, with which they communicate through a neck. Patients with chronic pain, recurrent urinary tract infections, macroscopic hematuria, or progressive destruction of the renal parenchyma have the indication for surgical treatment, regardless of the existence or not of intradiverticular calculi.
