This article describes a professional collaboration between Physician Practice, State Drug Enforcement, the Office of Substance Abuse, and Healthcare Risk Management in Maine. The authors' primary goal is to increase multidisciplinary awareness of issues and concerns surrounding the diversion of prescription medications, with some insight into community impact.
