Remoção conjunta de nitrogênio e fósforo em um sistema de lodo ativado compartimentado (SLAC)

2017
The concern in removing nitrogen and phosphorus present in the sewage has intensified in recent decades, since there is a great need to control the process of eutrophication of water bodies caused by the intake of these nutrients, whose negative effects are widely known . The biological process is generally chosen for sewage treatment, due to its lower cost and operational simplicity of this example, the activated sludge process that has widespread use. The operation under the sequencing batch regime has been shown very attractive, especially for enabling maintenance of anaerobic conditions, anoxic and aerobic, necessary for the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus in a single reactor. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the behavior of SCLA process (Cyclic Activated Sludge System) applied to the removal of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus sewage. Regarding the removal of organic matter was obtained high efficiency, removing 91% of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand). In nutrient removal system showed good efficiency is approximately 88% for nitrogen and 79.5% for phosphorus, these values were close to many found in the literature.
