Nonlinear spectral extrapolation: new results and their application to spatial and medical imaging

Nonlinear extrapolation of the image spectrum is stated as a consequence of new mathematical results about definite positive extension or covariance extension. The main contribution of this method is its ability to incorporate a priori knowledge like positivity or some edges early detected in the image.
