Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–negative and hormone receptor–positive cancers and lesions manifesting as areas of nonmasslike enhancements are more likely to show residual disease as small foci or scattered cells after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, leading to underestimation of residual disease extent at MR imaging.
