A non-adhesive foam dressing for exuding venous leg ulcers and pressure ulcers: six case studies

2004
Inappropriate control of exudate from chronic wounds can lead to significant clinical problems, including peri-wound maceration, resulting in delayed healing and increased pain. Of equal importance are practical problems such as increased odour, leakage of fluid and stained clothes. These can result in reduced mobility and isolation, with a negative impact on quality of life.
