Advance in the intradiscal electrothermotherapy

The effective power,recurrence,risk of operation and postoperative complications of surgical interventions for lumbar discogenic lower back pain are far from satisfactory.Intradiscal electrothermal treatment(IDET)is a minimal invasive and effective method to treat discogenic pain.The main purpose of this article is to introduce the mechanism,indication,contraindication,procedures,complication and pitfalls on IDET treating discogenic pain.
