The Oklo phenomenon
1975
Oklo is the name of a small river in Gabon Equatorial West Africa, a tributary of the Ogooue, about 440 km from the Atlantic coast. In the short time of only three years, the Oklo phenomenon has gone down in scientific history and this unique discovery will require the rewriting of all text books on uranium whether dealing with its geological, chemical, physical or reactor principles.
