Complete Mesocolic Excision (CME) and Central Vascular Ligation (CVL) is a challenging procedure,[1] which requires intensive training and standardization of the technique to overcome the learning curve.[2] The technical steps have been described,[3,4] with some variability between them. We aim to facilitate adherence to the technique by offering a step-by-step procedure, thus providing a video-guide for laparoscopic Superior Mesenteric Vein (SMV) first approach.
