Fertility in Women After Surgery for Borderline Ovarian Tumors: Two Case Reports

1998
ABSTRACT Two cases of borderline ovarian tumors in young nulliparous women are presented. Our purpose was to study the results of conservative operative treatment on the fertility of the women as well as the course of the disease after childbearing. Both patients conceived after ovulation induction and delivered healthy neonates. They continue to be followed, and no recurrence of the disease has occurred. We conclude that conservative treatment in young nulliparous patients had no effect on their ability to achieve pregnancy and no adverse influence on the course of the disease.
