Combustion Characteristics Research on Methane-Hydrogen-Air Pre-mixture

2011
Combustion experiments of methane-hydrogen-air mixture were conducted in a constant volume combustion bomb.Combustion pressures and schlieren images were collected. The effect of initial temperatures,pressures,fuel-air equivalence ratios and hydrogen blend ratio were discussed on the maximum combustion pressure, the maximum pressure rising rate, burning rate and combustion stability. The result shows that the combustion rate of the mixture is faster under the condition of higher initial temperature and lower initial pressure, the maximum combustion pressure increases earlier with the raising of hydrogen blend ratio, the flame radius increases obviously, the wrinkle occurs, and the stability of flame propagation decreases.
