Fixing member and front plate for mounting the fixing member

PURPOSE: To provide a fixing member for an undercut boring hole of shallow depth, which is mountable in an undercut boring hole in the manner of continuous shape, and has a simplest possible structure. CONSTITUTION: The expanding member of a fixing member 5 is metal expanding ring 7 which is of at least a substantially elliptical shape capable of being bent into a roof shape. The bent side surface of the expanding ring 7 abuts the tapered peripheral surface of a tapered expanding member 6. A front plate 1 for this fixing member 5 to be mounted presses the expanding ring 7 upon the tapered expanding member 6, and is brought to abut the wall of a boring hole 2 inside an undercut portion 4 by the outer periphery of the expanding ring 7.
