Syntheses, Structures, and Nonlinear Optical Properties of Quaternary Chalcogenides: Pb4Ga4GeQ12 (Q: S, Se).

Pb4Ga4GeS12 (I) and Pb4Ga4GeSe12 (II) are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric amounts of the elements (evacuated silica tubes, 980 and 800 °C for (I) and (II) resp., 100 h).
