Abstract We report the observation of five muonic Z 0 decays. The mass and cross section times branching ratio is consistent with the previous measurements of Z 0 →e + e − . Three of the muonic decays have unexpected features. One event is of the type Z 0 →μ + μ − γ. Two of the Z 0 →μ + μ − decays are accommpanied by several (>4) energetic ( E T > 10 GeV) jets which are difficult to explain within the framework of standard QCD corrections.
